    2010 – 2015:
    Loan Processor & Date Entry for Australian Home Mortgage. Simultaneously obtained a First Class Honours Bachelors Degree of Electrical Engineering at QUT.
      2016 – 2019:
      • Launched & concluded successful career in Electrical Engineering with Bombardier Transportation.
      • Spent 9 months living abroad in Colombia South America, gained Spanish second language.
      2019 – 2020:
      • Obtained Diploma in Financial Mortgage Broking Management.
      • Implemented succession plan (jointly with father John) to transition to principal Mortgage Broker for Australian Home Mortgage.
      • Adapted Australian Home Mortgage processes for modern digital world, moving away from paper based documentation.
      • Defined Australian Home Mortgage values and mission statement – Help more Australian’s achieve their property ownership vision.
      2020 – Now:
      • Guided clients through significant market challenges of COVID 19 pandemic & post economic inflationary crisis.
      • Clients are predominantly existing customers & word of mouth referrals, thus demonstrating client satisfaction of service.
      • Introduction of best practise management tools via Quikli, BrokerEngine & Sherlok software to further optimise client experience by creating efficiencies in process & cost savings for all clients, new and existing.
      • First time in 30 year Australian Home Mortgage history, initiated expansion via digital marketing in line with ultimate goal of helping more Australian’s achieve their property vision.

      Australian Home Mortgage Origins – John Rappolt – “A marvellous story that is worth telling”
       
      1992:  Started with the finance arm of popular developer AvJennings (one of the largest if not the largest in Australia at the time), offering home loan finance for first home buyers, owner occupiers, investors, and construction. Mortgage Broking was a new offering to the public, most people went to their bank & not necessarily received the result they were looking for. There was a complete gap in the market between banks and borrowers. This was in the midst of a recession which lasted a number of years. Information was transferred only via paper & phone.
       
      1997:  Australian Home Mortgage gains independence and continues to maintain relationship with AvJennings (and to this day) & branched out to service various other builders and clients. Word of mouth of the business’s offering helped spread the reach to Australia wide. The expansion was predominantly attributed to referrals from friends and family of existing customers. This is a testament of success & customer satisfaction.
       
      1997 – 2018: Independence marked the start of incremental improvements & introduction of several innovations via savings plans, low deposit loans, and adaptation of the home loan process to connect clients to more lender product options. Perseverance, resilience, and evolution shaped the business, through good and bad times, such as GFC 2007, the adoption of the internet & responsible lending regulation. Adaptation & difficult decisions were required to to keep overheads low.
       
      2019 – Now: 2019 marks the implementation of the succession plan for Australian Home Mortgage. John Rappolt transfers operation of the business to son Justin Rappolt leading to two important distinctions;
      1. Australian Home Mortgage becomes a family run business.
      2. John Rappolt’s role changes to align with passion to grow Australian Home Mortgage.
